Earlier this week, Kim Kardashian “took over” the late night talk show hosted by none other than Chelsea Lately, and some comments she made are upsetting the parents of actress-gone-wild Amanda Bynes. Apparently, Kim and little sister Khloe Kardashian don’t really think Bynes’ strange, dramatic and disturbing new look is all that bad.
Here’s the rundown: Kim Kardashian, along with sisters Kourtney and Khloe and their ever-present mom, Kris Jenner, were chatting on Chelsea Lately’s show about Amanda Bynes. The troubled actress is acting very bizarrely and she now has scraggly looking hair extensions, cheek piercings and freakish looking clothes. In short: She’s a mess, and not even a *hot* mess.
That’s not how Kim Kardashian sees it. She told her family on the show, “Am I the only one who is obsessed with her new makeover? I think she looks amazing with the blonde hair and those nails.”
Seriously, Kim? The girl was spotted smoking what appeared to be a marijuana joint in NYC’s busy Times Square the other day. Bynes is having big problems. She clearly needs help. And that’s exactly the sentiments of Bynes’ mother and father, who are said to be very upset about Kim’s comments of support, saying the remarks were made “in poor taste.” They believe Amanda is “having some sort of crisis” and desperately needs help.
Yet Kim Kardashian, for whatever reason, decided to make light of Bynes’ situation in a way. Maybe she was just trying to be nice, but it didn’t come across well.
